Different locations no name show can’t contact the staff we were looking for the place more than 45 mins and we can’t even contact the staff

Ok stay

We didn’t book this hotel, but the hotel we booked (Hanoi lullaby) said they had plumbing issue and redirected us here.
The room was okkkk, bed was big but a bit dark so I don’t really like it. The design of the bed frame is quite bad & hazardous. We kicked into it multiple times. Our room was at L7, and the cleaner cart was parked right outside our door so there’s a lot of sound coming from there.
The service didn’t feel good at all. The only that they spoke to us is to try to earn some money. Breakfast was ok, The spread on the table was little and pretty sad looking. Realised belatedly after 15 mins that you can actually order from an ala crate menu which will be freshly prepared. I already ate the not so good spread by then, my bf got an omelette with bacon. Decent. While the spread wasn’t much, I appreciated the cereals with cold milk (from carton so no worries about diarrhoea).
It’s not a bad stay. But If I had a choice, I definitely wouldn’t book this hotel.

Not good enough

After reading some reviews on here the day we travelling I was pretty nervous turning up. However, we arrived and had no problems checking in, even upgraded to a better room (although this was basic, so makes me wonder what could have stayed in...). It was comfortable and functional, everything you’d expect of a modern hotel room.
However - the shower was terrible - no water pressure, it was a dribble and impossible to wash you hair.
Also, the nice view of the nearby St Joseph’s cathedral was a nightmare as early as 4.45am when bells woke you. Absolutely no chance of sleeping through. Housekeeping outside the door clearly knew this as they were not quiet.
Breakfast was a very limited buffet and some a la carte options - the cold pancakes on day 1 meant I didn’t try anything else. Location was very good, but does not compensate for the interrupted sleep and poor shower. Would not recommend nor stay again.

So maybe I should have read some more of the reviews about this dodgy hotel. After staying in backpackers and home stays I was looking forward to a nice relaxing modern room like in the photos... However I was given the similar sob story as per other reviews. I arrived to the hotel and everything looked nice I was given a welcome drink and told to sit down where the staff said about how my room had been booked because of blah blah blah but not to worry because I had been upgraded to a better room in their sister hotel. I was walked around the block down an alley where an old hotel was and I was taken to my room there which was very old and not very clean. Apart from that I slept there and left the next day with no problems but it's not the hotel I paid for so don't expect what you see when booking here..

Not worth it

This place does not look like the nice photos you see when booking!
We got put on the fourth floor and apparently was 'upgraded' to a suite. God knows what the standard room looked like! It was a basic room..
We felt like we were sleeping outside with all the traffic and people we could clearly hear all night. Make sure you remember your ear plugs.. which doesn't make a massive difference to cancelling out all the noise..
The breakfast was appalling.. they only have one menu.. yes ONE. So if there's already a customer at a table, you need to wait until they have picked their meal and ordered before you can have a look.
There is simply just no atmosphere to the hotel.
