Best Campsite in Virginia

I loved this small, family friendly campground. The staff are super nice, helpful and friendly. We stayed in a cabin which had a TV, microwave, fridge and small freezer. The beds were very comfortable. The showers and toilets were spotless and clean and looked new and modern. The pool was heated. We were comfy and happy and had everything we needed. So close to Colonial Williamsburg and restaurants and shops. Perfect place to stay. I saw some people complain about trains but they did not bother us at all, slept through them passing if any even passed at night. The gentle rumble in the morning was quite soothing. This is the nicest, friendliest campsite I've ever stayed at and we highly recommend staying here.

Pet Friendly

We really enjoyed our too short stay at Anvil Campground. We found this campground because it was super pet friendly and we were allowed to have our 5 dogs. It was our very first trip in our first camper and we are glad we chose Anvil. We got the site we wanted and the Staff was wonderful.

5 star campground in Williamsburg, VA

We had such a wonderful time at Anvil Campground! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the proximity to Busch gardens and Water Country USA can't be beat! I highly recommend this campground to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area. 5 stars!!!

A fantastic place to stay!

This is the second time we've been to Anvil Campground. Everyone that works here is exceptionally professional, friendly and willing to help out in any way. We are here this time for an extended stay. We wanted to hunker down for the winter on the east coast and picked this wonderful campground. We had the pleasure to be here during Xmas and got to meet Santa Claus, the grinch, and lots of yummy goodies that the campground had for it's guests and anyone who wanted to come by and experience this! They went over the top. We highly recommend this campground to anyone who wants to stay in the Williamsburg, VA area. There is so much history here and so many things to see that are literally 15-20 minutes away.

Was not accurately descriptive on how close the railroad tracks are to the room! 15-20’ max from the cabin, had 4 separate trains pass a night roughly every 1.5-2 hours and shakes the entire cabin. No sleep the first night, had to buy ear plugs for us the second night. Bed mattresses are 4-6” thick pads. General store was nice, bath house was ok and the staff was friendly.
