Great value

+ Affordable price, friendly staff, comfortable room, roomy accommodation, quiet surroundings.
Great beds. Big room with everything you need. A little worn down but clean.
- Expensive parking. The road down to the city center was closed so you couldnt walk to the city.

I would rather run cheese graters across my eyes than ever, ever, return to this disgraceful hospitality scam property

It’s difficult to determine where to begin this extended list of complaints. My wife & I take our 3 young children (10 mo, 5 yr, 7 yr) on vacation once per year, and this year we decided to stay at what appeared to be a nice & affordable hotel….. when we booked it from 900 miles away. Upon arriving you’ll be greeted by the struggle of getting into their parking lot thanks to the temporary barricades that have been placed along their western entrances. Then you’ll be met by the most unprofessional employees of the hotel who only care about the money they can squeeze out of you, and never give a rats about treating you like a “guest” like you’d expect from any hospitality business. Next you can expect to be charged an additional $20 per night if you wish to park within their awful, cramped, and impossible parking lot so if you’re staying for a week like we did you’ll be out $120 that would’ve gone to your vacation. Furthermore, they will take the credit card for incidentals and hold $100.00 for “deposit”. Allow me to be more fair to you than the staff will be, this is not a deposit. It’s an easy $100.00 bonus they claim from all foolish enough to let them— which I’ll get into here in a moment. Once you’ve paid nearly $200 additional dollars on top of your originally agreed stay amount, found a parking spot nowhere near your room, made your way up their disgusting elevator, and make it to your long awaited door at last; you’ll open it to find even more disappointment. That’s right, no settling in for you because the works just beginning. The carpets have not been cleaned maybe ever, and they turned our infants clothing black during the very very short period that we even let her roam the floor. You’ll find toiletries which have been half used and left behind for you to use— though I recommend you refrain. You’ll also discover that like our room (209) your kitchenette sink P-trap leaks like crazy, the burners only get lukewarm making it impossible to cook, and that’s only the beginning. The door lock latch in our room was missing hardware, so we ended up fixing it ourselves to be able to lock the door for privacy. We also did our best to fix the sink so that it would be somewhat useable during our stay. Oh and let’s not forget the night that we went without ANY WATER FLOWING IN OUR BUILDING thanks to some kind of leak down in the lobby— oh yeah and they didn’t give us any warning either they just cut the water mid shower so I went to pay $20 to finish rinsing off at the truck shop. Even though they claim to serve a complimentary “light breakfast”, they don’t serve anything unless you pay them convenience pricing for it— not even coffee anymore. Then, the cherry on top as far as I’m concerned, you can expect the housekeeping staff to spy on you, wait for you to leave for vacation activities in the afternoon, and then enter your room STILL WITHIN YOUR POSSESSION as a guest and days before checkout, so they can invade your privacy, break actual California state laws, and take photographs of your personal belongings to be sent around between management and other staff!!!! All culminating to them attempting to charge my credit card for $150.00 more without speaking to me, a without my knowledge, and especially without my consent as a cleaning fee for a room that was turned back over to them 2 days later in almost perfect condition. This place should be shut down because they are con artists and the staff all crooks especially the manager Eduardo. I only stayed here because they bear the Wyndham name, but if I were Wyndham I would dump this dump like last weeks leftovers because they are a terrible representation of what Wyndham stands for. I never signed any policy stating they could do any of what they did, and I’m still being denied my money back including the $150 fee and they’ve stopped taking my calls. Well Eduardo, you had your chance to make it right after ruining my families yearly vacation, and now we will play the legal game. STAY AT THE SD DAYS INN ON HOTEL CIRCLE IF YOU ARE ONE WHO LOVES BEING THE VICTIM TO CON ARTISTS, DO NOT VALUE PRIVACY, AND WISH TO LEAVE FEELING DEFLATED & LIKE AN IDIOT AFTER FALLING FOR WHAT SHOULD BE AN OBVIOUS SCAM. -10/10 WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO MY ENEMIES.

Scammer

We booked online with our travel share rewards and we we arrived. They demanded another $500 for check-in even though we had already paid. The parking was also paid for in advance and they wanted an additional $60 on arrival per night. King’s in down the street is absolutely amazing. Go there.

Severely Understaffed with an Attitude of We Don’t Care

Our family vacation here has been awful.
They forgot to mention $20 per day for parking in their tiny lot with very tight parking. That adds an extra $100 we weren’t budgeted for.
Pool was closed for maintenance for 2 hours on Friday. It’s almost 7pm and it’s still closed. No one notified us but a security guard came and kicked people out of the pool area. It’s not just that it was closed. It’s that they don’t have the human power to keep people informed as to what’s happening. They had someone working in the pool but they left before checking the water?
I’ve called the office 4 times and spent over 40 minutes on hold total.
This place is severely understaffed and the mood of the staff is they don’t care. The security guard literally said nothing getting done is the theme around here.
Try anywhere else but this place. Huge disappointment and no one cares.
