Keep going down the road… not worth it anymore.
When I arrived, the man at the front desk, Courtney, was unprofessional and unhelpful. I had checked online beforehand and saw that this was a smoking-room hotel, but he refused to accommodate my request. His attitude made me feel uncomfortable, and it was a stark contrast to the excellent service I had received from the previous staff.
Because of this, I decided not to stay and went to another hotel instead. It’s disappointing to see such a decline in customer service, and I won’t be returning. I hope management takes this kind of feedback seriously because great service used to set this place apart.

Not Good, Absolutely Awful--- Please read before booking Motel 6 Livingston, Texas
I recently stayed at Motel 6 for two nights with my family, and while the first two days were fine, my experience on the third day was shocking and unacceptable. As a gay woman traveling with my family, we felt comfortable initially, but that changed drastically when I encountered Courtney at the front desk.
Courtney was extremely rude and suddenly informed me that the property was now a non-smoking hotel—something that was never mentioned during my initial booking or our stay. He used this as a reason to deny us the ability to extend our stay. His tone and attitude were aggressive, making the entire interaction feel personal and discriminatory.
It’s disappointing and hurtful to feel unwelcome, especially in a space that should be neutral and accommodating. I’ve stayed at Motel 6 locations many times before and appreciated the “everyone is welcome” attitude, but this experience completely ruined that for me.
Let me just be real blunt and tell you EXACTLY what I, MYSELF, overheard when I went to the front desk to extend our stay for another night. For context the police were there talking to the GM, Courtney. He was telling them that there was 'suspicious' people staying there and he wanted to get them all out. He said that he planned to start 'opening doors' on guests that are suspicious TO HIM. I mean, who does this man think he is. He can't do that, can he? In my opinion that's a major invasion of privacy. I completely understand that there is a drug problem in this area but he doesn't have a badge. What exactly constitutes suspicious activity ---- in his mind? Would my being gay make me suspicious--to him?? Would that give him the right to open the door and have a look-see what's going on in my room, with my family in it. What if he caught my wife just coming out of the shower. what if my children were laying in bed watching T.V. and this man get the idea that I look suspicious to him so he opens the door and BAM, there's and adult-stranger-man looking dead-a$$ at my kids. That would traumatize them. People in positions with a little power... smdh
I will never return to this location, and I sincerely hope that Motel 6 addresses this kind of behavior. No one should feel attacked or disrespected when they’re simply trying to rent a room for their family.
