Good place in Hardeeville, SC

The Hampton Inn in Hardeeville, SC is a fine place to stay. It is right off of I-95. We have never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. This hotel is pet-friendly. We did have our dog with us. There is a grassy area behind the hotel for dog walking. The breakfast buffet was nice, but could have had more fresh fruit. The outdoor pool looked good, but of course was closed for the winter. There is a workout room, too. Our room was clean and comfortable.
Just a note: this hotel is close to a train track, and I could hear trains go by at all hours. But I like the sound of trains.
We would stay again if we return to Hardeeville, SC.

NOT A frig, JUST a COOLER

3 yr old hotel, nice and clean BUT the so called FRIG was barely under room temp. Mis-leading false description of amenity. Staff checked and said all rooms only have COOLERS. Also poor design in new hotel with ice machine at the other end of hall, NOT by elevators.

I was disappointed when I arrived. The reading light did not work at the desk. I did not complain right away. I took a shower and was very disappointed that I got in the shower with no problem but getting out was difficult. It was a sliding glass door that had a bar on the outside to get in but the bar in the inside of the shower was broken off, and therefore it was very difficult to maneuver the door open again to get out!! I had to wrap my fingers around the little discs of the outside bar and push it open.
This was not just a inconvenience, but to me it was a safety issue. When I went downstairs to tell them about the shower, I informed them about the bulb. They said they would bring one up, that took 45 minutes. I did not eat dinner that night. It was right in the middle of trying to figure out the menus without a light.
