Old World charm with good eats.

Hidden gem (well not that hidden) Old World charm decor and rooms - don't expect the Ritz Carlton - expect what you would find in the olden days of Great Falls. Room was very nice, clean and neat - water gets hot rather quickly for showers etc - Loved the breakfast items - (even though its called Continental Breakfast) - there are hot items per-cooked and the frozen - takes two minutes to cook...i.e. breakfast burritos - both veggie and non-veggie - amazing taste. Hash pies - you cannot eat just one. Milk, juices, coffee, yogart etc...I like the self serve and eating in the old time Celtic Cowboy saloon - Bed was very nice - slept well even the first night. Staff was amazing - could not have been more helpful. (I saw reviews before I booked that had staff availability issues -I had none) same with the thermostats - I had no issues- Parking is great either right across the street or the easy access garage out back. If I wanted to nit pic and create a better room - I would referb the kitchen counter - and, have sliding glass doors for the showers- which are very roomie - This may be an accessibility issue - but the shower glass is one piece - half covering he shower - room enough to get a chair in on the open end. I am not an easy grader -but I could not think of a reason not to give this Hotel an "A" or "A-. It is definitely not a "B". And, don't be afraid to call them before hand for any questions you my have...i.e. airport shuttle, late arrival etc. Lastly, very good value for your dollar.

Horrible customer service at the front desk. Had to wait to check in as they only have one person on staff and she tried to not give us items that were supposed to be included in our stay.

I was so tired when i arrived late at night that being assigned a room next to the check in desk should have been a clue. I had a miserable night sleep because the doors and walls are paper thin! All night long i heard the staff working at the office; guests walking up and down the hallway; staff talking with one another. It's not like they were loud- they were uncaring that people were trying to sleep! Doors slamming. Staff talking. Horrible place is you need sleep. The venue itself may have been okay visually, but the environment was not conducive to sleep and silence. It was horrible. I left without eating the small breakfast that was basically a portable freezer from which you take out a snack choice of quiche and heat it yourself in a microwave. Like a convenience store in which you sleep like crap. I will not return,

Stay somewhere unique instead of a chain

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Arvon over NYE. Check in required calling a number and tracking down the front desk person but other than that, everything was beyond expectations. The hotel is unique - a converted historic building that maintains its charm but is completely up to date and clean. Art everywhere. Very pet friendly with doggie treats at check in. Double queen room was big with a mini fridge and microwave. Parking was behind the building - covered and secure. Breakfast was self service and everything in the freezer available to microwave was house made. We met the lovely fellow who gets in at 5 to make the burritos and frittatas every day. The Celtic Cowboy is the attached pub/restaurant where breakfast is laid out. We had a fun NYE with the locals there at the pub - it was packed for trivia night - and can highly recommend their food and beer selection. Definitely would return!

Really nice location. It was loud at night with many people leaving the bar you could hear everything people were saying in your room.
