It’ll do

Good enough to hang your hat for the night. Floors weren’t very clean, the place just needed a refresh. Honestly, it just felt like a cheap apartment. Like I said in my title, “it’ll do”. Was just there for one night to get some sleep. Bed was fine. Liquor store nearby within walking distance. Right at the exit from the highway, that’s good.

Sometimes Average is OK

This Red Roof Inn was not new but it did have some improvements such as the flooring and painting.
The bathrooms still need remodeling. The tub and sink and toilet appear to be original to the property. The freezer in the small refrigerator did not work!
The dresser drawers could use some vacuuming out.
We did not stay for the breakfast because it was less than a Continental breakfast! A very small room was also not conducive to eating there.
So considering the age of the hotel, it met our expectations except as noted.

stayed due to hurricane damage and issues. When it was safe to return home, we tried to cancel a 2nd night and free up the room for someone else. They refused to cancel. We are dealing with a rough situation in the area and this business could have helped and chose not to.

ANYWHERE BUT HERE

Run, run like the wind. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. The mattresses are ancient, the towels are like sandpaper, the coffee is like mud. Dust in the corners, sticky floors, and generally all-around awful. Toilet ran all night. On top of it, when I got my bill, I realized that not only was I charged more than I was quoted, I never got credited for my "damage" deposit back - as if they could tell with all the problems in the room. I'll sleep in my car before staying here again.
