We've stayed there multiple times. It's not a pretty area but it's not far from nice areas so I get my walking fix.

I stayed at this hotel with a large group of children and parents for a tournament. Surprisingly, this location was a hidden gem! Very tidy. Friendly and accommodating staff. Close to major highways, and convenient access to local chain restaurants.…I was even able to have my puppy there. If ever in Chesterton again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book a room.

Could use some fine tuning

The check-in (6:25 pm) and check-out clerk (9:38 am) was the same person. She was very friendly both times and remembered our conversation about the Dunes from the night before. The sleeping area of the room 113 was clean. However, the access panel next to the toilet was badly speckled/stained. I didn't want to examine it closely. I reported this and a flickering light at checkout. Hopefully both issues will be fixed for the next guest.
There was a waffle maker and microwave-able breakfast burritos (I thought they were awful). Not other "hot" items. Fresh apples and bananas.

Ok hotel. Showing its age just a bit. Paid more than I would have expected but then again limited options in the area as we booked late. Friendly staff.

Check-in was a nightmare. The Quality Inn computer system was down and we stood 30 minutes while the desk clerk worked - silently, no apologies offered.
