We like to stay at a Hyatt Place when it’s a one night event. This hotel is great, close to the airport and shuttle is on time . The restaurant wasn’t open except for the bar and they whipped up some French fries for us because we got in
Late . The Breakfast was good .

You heard a compactor run all night loud crashing and banging. When I asked to change the room the front desk person gave me an attitude. The elevator button was broken smashed on 3rd floor, and the rooms smelt musty:

Responsive and Wonderful Staff

The staff from the reception and breakfast room to maintenance and housekeeping were pleasant and responsive. They took care of all our needs.
The breakfast was notable for high quality Greek yogurt with fresh berries and condiments.
While the rooms and hallways are dated and in need of a fresh look, I would return in a heartbeat to enjoy the excellent service.

Exactly As Expected

My flight got diverted to Charlotte instead of New York. Oh, the joys of traveling. Once my continuation to New York got canceled, I scrambled and began searching for hotels near the airport. This hotel seemed to fit the bill well. I called for the shuttle from the airport. I was told it would be 15 minutes, but the shuttle never came. I called the hotel once more, and the agent apologized profusely, saying she got busy and forgot to call for the shuttle. Oh well, we are all human and she at least admitted responsibility.
Once at the hotel, the sole agent at the front desk juggled answering the phone and checking the line of people in. This hotel clearly needs more staff. I was thanked for being an Explorist member of World of Hyatt and encouraged to grab a bottle of water from the refrigerator. I made my way to my hotel, which was the standard old Hyatt Place room. Old, but serviceable.
The room was clean, the bed fine. I appreciated the bottle of lotion in the room. The shower was fine with decent pressure, but of course had those annoying wall-mounted dispensers of shampoo and conditioner instead of individual bottles.
Breakfast was disappointing, with limited selection. The eggs were watery.
Shuttle back to the airport was packed, but efficient.
Overall, this stay was fine, and I'd return again if I had a quick overnight at the airport.

Only one lift working. Shuttle very small so not able to use at the time tgat suited. Breakfast just ok.
Room was very spacious and good so thats the real positive at hotel. Staff good
