The property was una safe area. There was plenty of dining options in walking distance. Transportation was conveniently available.

wouldn't come back if I could avoid it

I was disappointed in our stay here. I was here with my two kids for a soccer tournament at the complex across the street, so the hotel was quite busy (totally understandable). However, there appeared to be one person working the front desk, juggling both phone calls and the check in process for guests, along with any issues. She was doing her best, but that seemed like a staffing issue and part of the broader trend of corporate cost-cutting and not giving a damn about customer service!
As a result, a handful of annoying things happened during our stay -- the front door wasn't working and the young woman at the front desk was so busy she wasn't able to see that we were trying to get in to the lobby, the heat in our room wasn't working and no one came up after our call, so I had to track down maintenance at the front desk (while same employee was super busy juggling a ton of check-ins and the phones) myself, then the maintenance engineer couldn't get the heat working in our room, so he sent me back to the desk again to change rooms, they couldn't offer us another room, and so on. During all of this, I'm bringing two kids back and forth from the room to the desk with me and trying to maintain the damn soccer schedule. It was kind of ridiculous.
Then, the next morning, I asked to check out an hour later and the employee at the front desk said no and that if we weren't out of the room by 11, I'd be charged for another night.
At that point, I was kind of floored that there was just zero customer service at all (considering the issues with the heat, etc) and gave up. My guess is that the employees are either doing the best they can with too much cost cutting or they just don't really care because working for this Marriott sucks!
I wouldn't come back here if I could avoid it.

It was a fine stay

Starting with the good- the bed was very comfortable and the staff was nice and efficient. There's also a 'bistro' that was nice to get Starbucks coffee in the morning on the way out. What could be improved: 1. my room was not cleaned, which was a surprise when I returned after a long day. 2. in the shower, the handle was loose and could come off the wall at any time and the shower head stream of water didn't come out normally. More like spurts. 3. there was a sports tournament while I was there. there were kids running in the halls (both above & on my hall) starting very early and also fairly late. I finally called the front desk to have them address the situation. While the call was taken very professionally, nothing seemed to change.
Not to say I wouldn't stay here again, but definitely make sure the rate is worth it.

Sleeping in a Cloud

The rooms are nice. The coffee/microwave situation is odd. The bathrooms are very good. And the beds are AMAZING...like sleeping in a cloud with good pillows. I asked to be moved due to noisy neighbors when I first arrived. And had to ask to move short time later when the second room AC unit was very loud. If something isn't good then say something. The staff was amazing and I was happy to show the maintenance guy what was wrong with the AC unit so they could fix it for the next person. I'd definitely go back.

Bring earplugs

Really nice place but the thinest walls I can recall encountering. I am listening to the tv of the room next door and hoping they aren’t late night people.
Oh and the air unit vibrates very loudly.
Very comfortable bed and friendly staff though. Very clean as well so I’d still say it’s a good choice.
