Our favorite boutique hotel of the year
Check-in was easy, and we decided to stay in a suite (which was totally worth it). Since we were there right before Christmas, we had a Christmas tree and Grinch-themed decorations. It was hilarious, and it was clear that someone had put a lot of thought into the decorations, and they were a hit.
The AC worked very well, which is definitely a must for us in Louisiana. One of my pet peeves is elevators that take forever, but that wasn't an issue here even though we were on the top floor (which also has the fitness center). The Wi-Fi worked throughout the hotel, so I could use Zoom, Netflix, etc., without issues.
Valet parking was convenient, but street parking is really easy in this area as well. The front desk and other employees were all really friendly and helpful. The reason we chose this hotel was the location, and it was perfect for us. Lots of things are easily walkable, including a good Cajun restaurant named Cecelia. If I find myself back in Baton Rouge, this will be where I'm staying.

We stayed 2 nights instead of 3. The bed was to soft and our backs hurt. But we are used to extra firm from back surgeries. However there isnt a closet to hang clothes up. That was weird. The little restaurant does has great breakfast.

Of it in the room. Called the front desk and they said that someone had previously smoked close to our room and they were aware of it and it would go away. Starting at about midnight the smell came back in overwhelming fashion and increased as the night went on. There is an employee/staff room next to this one so I don’t know if employees are in there smoking or what but it has been horrible the whole night and we haven’t been able to sleep. We are leaving at 5:30 am so switching rooms at this point is not helpful. The front desk gave us a can of air freshener but gonna be flat out exhausted tomorrow from no sleep. If you stay here stay away from room 233 if you aren’t a chain smoker.
