Sweet Simple and Homey

The room was clean-always had fresh towels, a clean bathroom, and made beds. The price for the room was more than fair during the busy season. It was a perfect location from Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Ellsworth, and Acadia National Park.

Grandma’s Clean comfortable coastal cottage.

Expect an older summer cottage with a great screened in porch. SPOTLESS. Full kitchen and full size fridge/freezer, small table with 4 chairs. Think of it as you’re visiting grandma’s coast cottage complete with the paneling on walls. Did I mention it’s Clean! Lovely polish couple owns this place and take care of it well. Bonus is you can catch the bus fairly close and it’s free to ride all over the island.

It was a cute cottage with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a little front porch! All we needed since I wasn’t coooking! The couple who owned it were adorable ! I felt bad for them because they could find no help so they had to clean the cottages themselves!

I had made reservations here because it looked great online and I wanted to stay in a cabin. When I got there, I was given a room in the motel part which is right on the busy road. Too noisy for me as I’m a light sleeper and even with windows closed I could hear the cars go by (and I like sleeping with windows open. It also has a slight smell of mold which I’m allergic to. So I had to leave. The woman who owns it with her husband was very sweet though and I hope I didn’t hurt her feelings.
