Great location, wonderful view quiet, clean, good breakfast nice patios. Within walking distance of Pier 39 coffee girl coffee shop, cannery museum, rogue restaurant.

Just ok

Our room was clean and comfortable, although a bit smelly, but met our needs for an overnight. We enjoyed the raucus sea lions on the river front and with the door closed, their barking was barely audible and we had a restful night. For the included breakfast, however, I recommend you go elsewhere unless you are just looking for fuel.

Rip off

The staff was mediocre, the man in the dining room was grumpy! The rooms were ok. We had planned to bring our dog, but ended up not. There was a dog barking in the next room and they called us and I told them we did not have the dog there, They still charge dus $75.00 for our dog. We called and they acted like we were lying. My husband is a lifetime diamond member … why would lie about the dog? We had decided to bring our 6 year old grandson and leave the dog home with our daughter!
It has been over a month since we called so I put in a dispute with the credit card company! I called again and asked for the manager and he said he had never heard about it. I’m sure it was the same person we talked to a month ago. We will never stay at this hotel again!

Higher prices lower service

This is our third stay here. The hotel used to be quite nice, but the service is getting worse. On our second day, on our way out in the morning, we requested our room to be serviced. When we returned at 3:30pm, it had not been. I went to the front desk and they said the kid that was there in the morning didn't remember, so called they housekeeping. The house keeper said she was never told. On the morning of the 3rd day, we requested our room to be serviced again and were told we were on the list, so no worries. We got back at 6pm and yup, no service. No towels, tiny garbage cans still overflowing. My wife went down to the front desk and, while the guy there was slightly apologetic, there was little effort to make anything right, beyond giving her some clean towels to take up to the room. She was told to put the dirty ones in the hallway and he would pick them up, but they were still there when we left in the morning. We felt like we were inconveniencing them. We also had to unplug the phones due to a known issues where the phone would ring once about every minute. When we called the front desk, they said it had been happening for months and corporate will do nothing and told us to disconnect the phones.

Hotels located in a nice area with overviews and Rogue Brewery is walking distance at Pier 39. Breakfast was decent. The mattresses are hard so if you do not like hard mattresses do not stay here. We did not sleep good at all woke up constantly. We spoke with another couple who agreed the mattresses were way too hard but then another gentleman at breakfast loved how hard they were. The TV in our room which was a King bed with balcony and river view, could not be turned towards the bed so you had to watch it from the chair by the table or just deal with watching it from an extreme angle. Great place to stay if you like hard mattresses and do not plan on watching TV much in the evening.
