Delightful hotel

I stayed one night at the Celtic International Hotel and just my stay there is a reason to want to return to Wales. Because the bus driver had no idea where it was, while there is a bus stop with the name of the hotel in front of the door, I had to pay close attention not to miss it but for the next time I know exactly where to be. The hotel is very quiet but not far from Cardiff Airport. The rooms are lovely, the restaurant is very nice and the people are super sweet and helpful. I felt incredibly welcome. There is no elevator but there are also rooms on the ground floor. You can sit outside and for those arriving by car, there is ample parking. If the bus is not running or if you don't find it convenient, they will be happy to arrange a taxi for you, which will take you to the airport for £8 (June 2024). I was really sorry that I had to leave, although I still had such nice plans, and will definitely be back.

Ik logeerde 1 nachtje in het Celtic International Hotel en alleen mijn verblijf daar is al een reden om terug te willen naar Wales. Omdat de buschauffeur geen idee had waar het was, terwijl er nota bene een bushalte met de naam van het hotel voor de deur ligt, moest ik goed opletten om het niet te missen maar voor een volgende keer weet ik precies waar ik zijn moet. Het hotel ligt heel rustig maar niet ver van Cardiff Airport. De kamers zijn heerlijk, het restaurant is heel fijn en de mensen zijn superlief en behulpzaam. Ik voelde me ontzettend welkom. Er is geen lift maar er zijn ook kamers op de begane grond. Je kunt buiten zitten en voor wie met de auto komt, is er voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Als de bus niet rijdt of als je dat niet handig vindt, regelt men graag een taxi voor je, die je voor £8,- (juni 2024) naar het vliegveld brengt. Ik vond het werkelijk jammer dat ik weg moest, al had ik nog zulke leuke plannen, en kom zeker terug.

Went to watch the Rugby with my son - great venue to meet up at and then easy to park up and grab a taxi into Cardiff - staff all very helpful and whilst Wales lost to Ireland the weekend was fabulous and the stay was excellent, the cooked breakfast the next morning before our drives home was especially welcome .

Misrepresentation of actual hotel

The photos on the website are NOT a true representation of what the rooms are like.
Yes, the hotel is a £7 taxi ride to the airport.
Room was cold when I entered but had a fan heater to warm it up. Heating appears to be on a timer as wasn't on all the time. Also the appearance of the room is cold too [see picture], nothing on the walls. Only 1 double plug socket with USB plugs too for the whole room.
No form of heating in bathroom. Shower was okay, a corner unit style.
Didn't have the cooked breakfast but looked good. Okay spread of continental breakfast. Only small cups for coffee.

Thank you very much for your review. We have got 50 rooms which are all different so I don't think you can make a judgement in saying that the photos on our website are not a true representation of the hotel. We are an airport hotel and you clearly used it for that purpose. The rooms are functional for that purpose. The continental breakfast contains cereal, fruit, yoghurt, Muffins, croissants, Pastries , toast and as much coffee and tea you can possible drink for £6.50.

Stayed here a few times ,so convenient for Cardiff Airport, staff so friendly and helpful, Amazing food ,looking forward to my next stay there .
