Booked for my birthday, and although we enjoyed our stay, we had called the hotel direct back in December to check when the scaffolding would be coming down. We were told it would be down the following week, so went ahead with our booking. When we arrived, the whole hotel was scaffolded and our room was in total darkness! As it was a special weekend we would not have stayed here if we had been told this.
Breakfast was good, but far too small an area, which made it uncomfortable for everyone trying to get their food.
The bedroom and bathroom was very comfortable, despite the darkness and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Currently (Dec 2024) there is scaffolding up so no views out the windows and entrance is a bit hidden.
Easy distance to the river and several routes to get into the city.

We were not told about the external scaffolding which wasn’t a great issue. We tried to call reception about some banging around in a bedroom above us at 11pm. It was continuously enguaged - even the Emergancy button did not work. We had to google the hotel number to get an answer. Overall nice hotel in the middle of ever thing.

Breakfast food were great. Lots of options, big dining room. Convenient store near by. Close to underground transport. Staff very accommodating.

Hotel is covered by scaffolding. No mention was made about this on booking. Staff on arrival ok but no apology for no warning of scaffolding jusy reason for it. Unlikely to have booked if known. In room using hairdryer which didnt sound particularly good, it gave a small explosion, singed my hair and started severly smoking. Tried to call Rec, but phone not plugged in and on trying to plug ot in, the wire disappeared into the wall. I had to go down from 6th floor to rec. I was given a spare hairdryer but no apology just mild surprise. Had to ask him to check the hairdryer and phone.
I mentioned issues on check out as i had asked the night rec to make a note. Day staff unaware and made another note. Apology given but nothing else. This is for a room that was £303!! Not very impressed.
