Fabulous!

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful Georgian property with lots of original features! Decorated to a very high standard. Central location 5 minutes to Leith Walk, 10/15 to Holyrood&royal mile. I walked through Carlton Hill park from the station 15 minutes to get there.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed cocktails with me family in the bar. The property has artwork owned by the owner everywhere- I loved it!
All in all great choice and best room I’ve ever had on my visits to Edinburgh!

Absolutely Must Stay in Edinburgh

Of all the wonderful places we have stayed on our travels this was the most memorable. Every part of our stay at 24 Royal Terrace was exceptional. The service and staff were incredible - attentive, friendly, professional and warmly hospitable. Arturo, Marinella, Samantha, Tony and Jonathan truly made us feel like family. The hotel itself is uniquely adorned with artwork, including the well furnished rooms. I usually don’t mention the beds, but theirs were like sleeping in a cloud. The boutique bar/restaurant on the first floor was open 24 hours/day and the breakfast there Michelin quality. And if you’re interested in enjoying a scotch whisky tasting, we strongly recommend you attend one of Tony’s on-site (the Scotch Whisky Guy) incredibly educational sessions. We did 2 different tastings while we in Edinburgh and his was by far was the best. Additionally, being located about a 15 minute walk from the busy city center in a quiet neighborhood was another huge plus for us after a full day of sight seeing. Finally I have to thank the owner Alesia for being so gracious and helpful. My wife and I often stay in smaller boutique hotels for the personal attention, you’ll find that and more at 24 Royal Terrace.

Satisfied with experience :)

Comfortable sleep, nice room with everything you'd expect and in a good location. Room and bathroom both clean. Shower was powerful. Staff were friendly. They offer breakfast and have nice bar downstairs but I didn't take advantage of these, perhaps next time :)

A treat well worth

So much class and whimsy, loved it! Sweet and friendly staff, and the robes and coco were lush.
Highly recommended booking the whisky tasting. I underestimated how tiring Edinburgh is to explore on foot. Perfect way to cap off a big day then roll into bed.
Also props to environmental considerations.

Thank you for finding me a room to stay in having turned up at midnight with no booking. The room was excellent, extremely spacious and everyone was very helpful. Ideal location for working in the city and getting up Arthur's seat! I would happily stay again.
