Fantastic resort in a beautiful location

Incredibly beautiful location and resort has a nice boutique feel and not too busy. Primarily picked the resort as it had a dive club attached to it, and my thanks to Joy for looking after us and to Manny, who was our dive guide for a couple of days. His enthusiasm is infectious and was a wonderful soul to have as a guide around a couple of the wrecks and reefs.
As others have said, it's not a single level resort. It's built on the side of a hill and cascades down to sea level. Be prepared.
All the team we engaged with were super friendly and pleasant.
The resort does 3 free transfers to Mae Haad during the day but if you want to come back to the resort outside of their return pickup times then it's about 400 Baht for a one way 10 minute journey.
A really memorable stay, to have a room with an unrestricted view of the sea and bay was very special.
It gets 5 stars from me for location and service. Only two minor points are that Internet access via WiFi in the room was a bit temperamental, and there were a few power outages during our stay. They didn't last long, though.
Happily come back to Jamahkiri again. Beautiful resort, beautiful setting.

Awful 3 stars staff but incredible 5*view!!!!

Not nice. If you don't buy the buffet, you are not allowed at all to eat in the restaurant even if it was empty. You need to eat in your room and only from 10am. I wanted to order a coffee before 10 and the manager (I think the older one as the other were like 18 years old) told me NO on the 02 january morning around 7-8am. Unbelievable for a 5 stars ...
Then, at 10 am I went to the swimming Pool. NO ONE AT THE BAR SWIMMING POOL...I waited a little bit so staff was late again.. Then I see this man again who was at the restaurant previously working there and I asked just for a coffee, he told me NO again and that I had to order in my room only so i contacted by whatsap the reception. I still have the text message and they told me that from 10am he was supposed to make me a coffee at the pool and then reception called him and he did make the coffee... He lied to the reception and said that I ask for a breakfast at the pool which I didn't, I said clearly that I wanted a coffee or a bottle of water. He just didn't want to do it.This man just didn't want to do his job and since the beguining was against me without any reason especially I am a very polite woman. It is funny because I noticed later on that he was like by magic very smiley and doing too much with some other Italian customers...Last hotel we were was BOPHUT RESORT AND MORACEA HOTEL and was not treated like that... This is clearly not a 5 stars!!!!
Also the stairs never end even for a young women like me.it was so hard just to reach the pool or restaurant. The stairs never stopper.. It was so painfull. IF YOU ARE OLD OR WITH HEALTH PROBLEM IT IS GONNA BE A HUGE PAIN FOR YOU. THINK TWICE.
Room service finish at 6pm then you are stuck in your room with no food ... ONCE AGAIN THIS IS NOT A 5 STARS SERVICE...

Nice 4 star hotel

Nice hotel with good location. The staff are pleasant. The pool was beautiful, but there really is no beach. There are very many steps, so not a good place is you have mobility issues. Good breakfast, and the hotel is clean. The rooms are large with a wonderful view, but they are somewhat basic.

Great view

Exceptional view from the rooms. Possibility to snorkel super spot. Diving school on site. Very friendly staff. Little flat. Many stairs to reach your rooms or the restaurant. Transfers via the hotel shuttle

ESCAPE this hotel!!!

I strongly recommend this hotel. As soon as we arrived at the port, the driver arrived late and was unpleasant. The journey to the hotel is dizzying; even the scooter hirer does not recommend this route to inexperienced drivers. Once there, we discovered an establishment full of steps: more than 200 between our room and the lobby, a real course of the fighter. The decoration of the room is old and, worse still, the air conditioning did not work, making the heat unbearable. We only had one card to access the room, which is impractical. Breakfast was poor, with very little choice, unworthy of a 4 star hotel. Faced with these multiple inconveniences, we decided to shorten our stay. Despite our detailed complaints, no commercial action was proposed. Run away from this hotel!
