A nice hotel

This hotel is located in Martorell, a town not far from Barcelona. It is not far from the most famous landmark of the town: the devil's bridge. It is near the older part of city with nice buildings. The accomodation are nice and the decor pretty modern. There is air conditioning in the room which is great. The bed was confortable. I was well welcomed and the staff were nice, despite the language barrier. I would highly recommend being able to speak at least Spanish. The signs in the city are written mainly in Catalan. The restaurant was good and the dishes served quickly. I had a very nice stay at this establishment. Gracias

Great stopover!

Chose this as a stopover on our way down from central France to Alicante. Loved the truly Spanish feel of the place. No English spoken (on the day we went, anyway) but that seemed to add to the atmosphere. Very simple but clean room, probably same room as 508 Tony! It was adequate for our needs and very quiet and peaceful. The Bar/Restaurant was lively and full of interesting people. We had 2 "Business" menus which cost 31.14€ in total (including wine) The food was very good, and they served "los boquerones" fried anchovies, the size of sardines, which were gorgeous!
True value for money and a great place to start our Spanish holiday! Would certainly stay again next time.

Train into Barcelona

Chose this Hotel as did not want to drive into Barcelona, rather take the train. The station is only about 5 mins walk from the Hotel and journey takes 35 to 40 mins. Only scored this 'average' as the next rating 'very good' is a big jump and in all honesty was nearer to average than very good in our opinion.
Specifically although our room was massive - a converted loft prob - it lacked natural light. This was provided through two Skylights that were covered by blinds. One was totally broken and the other only opened half way resulting in a dungeon like lighting in the roof! Pointed this out to Chambermaid who happened to be along corridor when we checked in thinking someone might come along and fix them but no.
Reception would have benefited from someone who spoke some basic English.

Hidden Gem

Needed a place to stay close to El Pratt Airport Barcelona for one night. We chose Martorell and found this little boutique hotel.
Simple clean rooms with a Juliet balcony overlooking one of the town squares. Very peaceful and quiet with free car parking one street down.
Very little english was spoken,however that was not a problem and we got by with our limited Spanish

Fui a celebrar mi cumpleaños con mi pareja , odo perfecto
Mejillones a la plancha al punto de sal, 2 patas de pulpo, gambas al ajillo con pimienton picante de la vera, chipirones plancha, bacalao con su guarnicion y el vino blanco que nos recomendaron ideal, equilibrado entre afrutado y seco
