Friendly, clean and great value - friendly and professional staff
The staff was so helpful and professional, I asked to stay an extra night, they were fully booked and so were other hostals in the area. Thankfully there was a cancellation and they informed me quickly via whatssap.
There's no lift so if you come with heavy luggage like I did, be prepared to lift your suitcases to the third floor! But if the staff is in they'll offer to help.

At first there were problems with check-in: there was no one in the building in the evening, the phone number posted on the door did not answer. It turned out that I needed to contact a certain Maria on a completely different phone number so that she could provide the code and give further instructions. Why contact the guest in advance, right? Bourgeois excess. But here it is. I didn’t have a local SIM card 2 call. What If I didn’t have traffic left? Trapped then? Random guy from a hostel helped me [facepalming]
The internet didn't work almost every evening. At all. The speed was poor. Cmon, guys, it’s almost 2024! Can’t you just pay €30 more to the provider?!
The door lock to my room needs to be replaced - I struggled with it every day for a week.
No soundproofing
The room smelled very strange upon arrival
One day there was no toilet paper in the common toilet
Another day, the soap was removed. Why? Because!
No elevator
No furniture in the room
Not enough lighting in the room - just one wall bulb.

Noisy location and smells in some rooms; so you'll be taking your chances.
The biggest issues with the Alcaravaneras was the smell and the noise. I had one of the rooms with a private bath which, in principle, wos good. However, there was a strong bad odor (probably sewer gas) from the bathroom. In addition, the location of the hotel rooms is on a side street that is right off the main highway in Las Palmas. The highway noise came right through the windows, whether they were closed or open. When I complained about these issues, the hostal provided me with a floor fan that helped with the smell a little, and provided white noise at night to cover some of the highway noise. Wifi was also spotty.
The hostal also let me store my suitcase for a few hours after checkout and before my flight departure.

Good hostel with nice price quality
Good location to have a quick visit of las Palmas. And great price/quality (we paid 22€ for 2 per night)
