Very peaceful and tranquil location, but this was not a hit for our family.
Our family stayed at Rondaia for one week. We read the glowing reviews for Rondaia, so we thought it would be perfect for our first trip to Mallorca. The estate itself is beautiful, with views of the vineyard and mountains. One major benefit is the A/C unit in the suite! The kitchenette also came in handy. However, there were some glaring issues that we encountered during our stay:
-Upon arrival, the staff stated that they didn't know how many people were staying in the suite and they didn't have the proper number of beds prepared initially--even though we had noted the number of people in our reservation.
-We found ants in the beds, saw termites/termite droppings on the couch, and noticed spiders throughout the suite. We notified the owners about a bug issue, but rather than offer us a different suite, they stated that they would spray insect repellant. However, this did not fix the issue and we saw insects in the suite every day until the end of our stay.
-The car path leading to the suites is not well suited for cars. Each time we called a taxi to pick us up, the car would get stuck on the path. Also, the path is not well lit at night/early morning. If you get back after sunset, it is very, very dark. We left in the early morning on the day of our departure, and it was completely dark--we couldn't see anything during the short walk from our suite to the car path.
-Our shower flooded twice during our stay. I will say that the owners were communicative and fixed the issue.
We appreciate that, on the last day of our stay, the owner's son very kindly gifted us a bottle of their wine and waived the eco-tax (52.80 euros) in response to the issues that we encountered.
