Fantastic!
Will start with check in which meant to be at 4 pm. I arrived sooner and surprised to see I could check in at 11 ar no extra cost. (I was in off peak season- February). I wanted a hotel with a spa l, near the airport, to wind down.
All staff speak English which is great.
Coming from airport I took a taxi, for 10 euros. The taxi driver wasn't a happy bunny, probably cause the distance was short, huffing all the way to the hotel.
To return, I used the bus for 1.35 euros. The bus station is literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel, just turn left and walk for 2 mins and there it is. It takes you straight to the airport and Alicante.
The spa is small, the pool is just for stretching your arms and legs after a flight, as it is quite small. But the showers and the bubbles are great for a back massage. Then the sauna and the steam room.
The rooms are simplistic, very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfy, I slept like a baby.
I took the half board, which you can choose from lunch or dinner, plenty choices. The breakfast is plain, but perfect for a morning flight. But the dinner was amazing. Had a humus dish as a starter and a tuna steak first night and some pork the next one. All come with a drink. Wine or water. For 20 euros bfast and dinner, that was a great price. Staff was lovely, smiling. The atmosphere was calm, perfect for a meal. No banging, shouting etc...
Going back to the buses, the trip to alicante is about 30 min, with a direct bus, you need to do a better research what app the locals use, cause I used google maps and the timing and busses were different. The ones for alicante were L251 a and L251B, direct to the bus station. The buses here put the stagecoach to shame. Cheap, clean, comfortable and let you know which station is next.
All together I enjoyed my stay at the Areca Hotel, I wouldn't choose any other hotel if I was to return.

Everything perfect!!
Perfect rooms, restaurant with spectacular half-board menu, Spa and parking included. I don't know. You can ask for more. And a good breakfast!! 100% kindness. I recommend it both to be passing and to go and spend a few days, near Alcalá cante and Elche. Nothing from the beach, perfect location.

Excellent location
Ideal location for Alicante Airport, lovely welcome, good food and service. The room was large and very clean. The restaurant was very good with excellent service.
The hotel is easy to find if you are coming from the airport, and only a five minute drive away. We had no problems finding a parking space outside the hotel.

A WONDERFUL SURPRISE AT THE END OF OUR TRIP TO SPAIN
We reserved at this hotel because of its proximity to the airport as we had an early morning flight to catch the following day. We were very pleasantly surprised to find this hotel to be far beyond our expectations. The warmth and friendliness of the staff who greeted us on our arrival was the beginning of a feeling of being “home” - from the beginning to the end of our stay, we could not have asked for more - the rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We will not hesitate in returning in the future. Highly recommended.

Dangerous lifts, inspection out of date.
Their lift maintenance and insurance inspection certificate are was 3 years out of date and my friends got stuck in the lift. The on site team were useless and their behaviour dangerous. The manager just kept saying only 6 allowed but there were 5. Then he blocked them exiting when rescued so that he could point at the sign. What an absolute disgrace. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

None of the occupants complained, and I understood why the elevator stopped: overweight. This is certified by the official technician from the elevator maintenance company.
All the occupants were laughing, and it was just an anecdote, but you were cursing and speaking very rudely to our staff, who did everything possible according to established safety protocols.
