Nice hotel for a staying of maximum 2 nights, but definitely not 4*

It is a refurbished hotel, the owner invested in it, but not in a way to make it more functional. It is intended to have a luxury appearance, but without a high level of cleaning, also în the rooms it will not be possible at all. When we arrived the room was clean, but during the stay it was not cleaned at all. The rooms are very small, not at least for a 3* hotel, but a 4*? We are slim persons and the bathroom was a challege, but for a fat person it must be almost impossible to enter inside and close the door. The balcony was too dirty and it was not cleaned at all during our stay. Wifi is almost inexistent în the rooms, when I asked the receptionist said nothing. The breakfast is somehow at average, no vegetables, just fried ham, eggs, low quality cheese and sweeties. The personnel is not well trained to avoid looking at someone's every bite, this is not polite at all. I do not recommend, the quality/price rațio is about 1/2.

Good experience

I recently had a wonderful vacation at Grand Hotel Caraiman and I can wholeheartedly say that this place is a hidden gem on the Romanian coast , from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, which set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay

They brag on being a 4 stars hotel, but it’s an average 3 stars hotel

From the outside and at the reception it may seem like a luxury hotel, but it’s all fake, the rooms are very small, very dirty (when we checked in we found cigarettes leftovers and plastic bottles under the bed), hair on the floor (and we had a 4yo child with us), very dirty bathroom, mold on the showers, overall very very dirty rooms, cleaning made very superficial.
The bar near the pool- below average.
The breakfast was also below average and there is a person from the staff watching everyone while they put food on their food, it kinda gives you the impression that you are not allowed to put food on your plate :))
Poor variety of fruits, pastry inexistent, a few sweets that seemed to be leftovers from the previous dinner.
They do have a live show everynight and entertainers for kids for about an hour or two, but that doesn’t compesate the fact that services are really really bad (cleaning especially).
