Excellent service

Excellent service, beautiful hotel.
The front office went out of their way to help me make a reservation at a very difficult to contact place in Pena’s Blancas– it took her 20 minutes. Been trying on and off for a week – thank you so much again! They also recommended a wonderful taxi driver , who went above and beyond taking us around to see the local sites.

Hotel cost benefit

It is a very clean hotel, the pool is small, we were not able to use it during our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The negative, they don't even offer you a glass of water, you only pay to sleep, if you see the cost benefit, the price is quite high. They don't offer you breakfast and the coffee they sell is ugly. We couldn't try the restaurant's food, because they do have it. Something positive, they have hot water

Very nice especially meal area

Decent hotel. Rooms basic but great water pressure and very hot water! Very nice breezeway for eating dinner. Great service too. My room had a nice balcony that I only discovered when I was leaving. It would have been nice to enjoy.

Hotel Frontera

Some friends of mine and I had to go to Ocotal, Nicaragua for one night only. We found this hotel online and booked for the night. The hotel is not the best hotel I've stayed in, but considering the location it was nice. The common areas (restaurant, pool, terrace, reception) looked like they had been recently renovated. This was a welcome surprise. However, the rooms are a little dated. I stayed in the lower area, near the garden and fountain. The faucet was missing a handle and I couldn't figure out how to get water out of it until the maid helped me. The shower needs upgrading and so does the room furniture. The restaurant's food wasn't bad either.

Good hotel option, good food

We had dinner at the hotel and they have good options with good service. The rooms are ok and the sitting area in front of the pool is very nice.
I would suggest that they add a water station for the guests. I asked the main desk if there was a place where I could refill my water bottle and they just said "No". There's a mini market right outside the hotel so I just walked there and bought a water bottle but the front desk could have also suggested to sell me one from the restaurant.
