Stay here!

What a surprise when we walked in! We were only able to enjoy this place for one night. Perfect for three adults with a separate room for two and a twin day bed for our adult daughter. Very clean! We weren't there long enough to enjoy the couch and recliner, but did enjoy the NZ sun at a lovely picnic table and seating outside our room with a view of the lake. VERY walkable to everything in town center.

Fantastic

What can I say… the owners are extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk to.
The Lodge is absolutely spotless.. so very clean !
A superb continental breakfast delivered the evening before ..
An easy walk to the town centre for a choice of many restaurants… and bars !
Just a tip … we ate at the Ranch.. it was lovely .. But Book before you arrive.. they are extremely busy .. you won’t get in !

Basic accommodation in a fairly old building, Like most of the prices we saw for Te Anau rentals, it was not good value for the money when compared to all the other places we had stayed on South Island. The room also lacked air conditioning and with a wall of west facing non insulated windows, it made for an very hot room that was difficult to cool down or create a flow of air as you needed to leave the door open to achieve this. There was a fan available, but this had little effect. Interne was poor and kicked us off every time we left the building.The host on the other hand offered great service and was very sweet and accommodating. She made us feel very welcom.

Comfy & spacious. Looked out onto the road rather than “lake view”. No net curtains so lacked privacy. Close to town & lake. Friendly welcome.

Recommend this accommodation.

Lakefront is owned, run and loved by a couple whose names I’ve sadly forgotten. I’m bad like that. All the small personal touches like bath salts, towels on heated rails, chocolates on little lavender bags, great appointed kitchenette, clean, well managed and comfortable. Close to all amenities and parking very near your apartment. There are laundry facilities on site. Happy to recommend this accommodation. One of the better ones in NZ.
