A happy couple!

Checked out this morning at Papinghotel & Spa in Ommen. Despite the bad reviews, we had a great stay. Nice clean room (240) with a nice breakfast this morning. Yesterday we swam in the pool and then bubbled outside in the garden in the spa. Both in the garden and by the pool inside, the saunas were open as usual. Nice and helpful staff. We had a wonderful stay. Will definitely come back here again.

Mediocre

Location is great. Facilities are outdated. The roof of the pool is almost collapsing, rooms aren’t very clean and modern.
Employees are polite but don’t offer any information without you asking.

Romantic weekend away.

It is an old hotel with no staff in my opinion. The rooms were small and filthy. There was mold in the bathrooms. No clean towels.
Saunas were also dirty and 2 saunas were inoperative. Treatments were offered on the site to There was no one to perform these treatments.
T restaurant is only open on Saturday and Sunday. As a result, we had to go to ommen center to eat something.
Saturday still eaten in the restaurant . The service was good, friendly young man. However, the map was really summary.

There's still some work to be done here.

The two of us went away for a nice weekend. In a hotel with wellness. But that was a bit disappointing. This hotel still needs a lot of refurbishing before we come back.

Great stay

Anticipation was something spoiled by bad reviews, especially about hygiene. Yes, there are areas for improvement, but I felt safe in sauna and swimming pool despite using immune suppressant medication. Sauna complex was wonderfully quiet. Is small though, so you shouldn't go if you're coming for the top sauna experience. However, if you see the sauna as a pleasant side effect, it is fine. Bed was lovely, breakfast super, staff friendly! Room (junior suite) somewhat dated and indeed warm due to location above pool, but that was easily solved by opening balcony door (and for the hot months there is an air conditioning). Location fine between nature and center. Just booking.
