Few days used as outage base environment
Chose Velthorst 4, nr 525 because we saw on the map that the houses were close together which is also the case. No. 525 was at the end of a strip overlooking the water and meadows. -Fine. Disadvantage turned out the droppings of the ducks, geese etc on the terrace and scaffolding which was not on the scaffolding of the cottage in the strip. They didn't get that far, they stayed largely in the open water
The cottage itself was fine. Looked cozy and clean inside. We were 2 people but for 4 people the crockery etc is tight. The dishwasher doesn't get full of it. Outside on the terrace and jetty was another story. It was full of feces from the geese, ducks etc. that had not been cleaned. There was also no outdoor furniture. But at the back a heavy garden table. At the reception this indicated because the weather was nice. When we came back from a visit to Kampen there were 4 garden chairs, the heavy table was still behind the house (has remained there because I am not allowed to lift). Heavily the terrace and jetty was cleaned.
We had a great time but to have a whole week holiday here would be a bit too much for us.

Preservation from the Money Mesh
Apart from that, we reported on time, an already existing damage to the door of the reception. This, however, charged us this after departure. Unfortunately, we only got our money back with vigour. Free after the moto: You can give it a try.
It almost seems like a ploy to make as much money as possible. I've never seen anything like it.
We can therefore only advise against going on holiday there and not to be saddened by appearances.

Poor service and hygiene in the EuroParcs Eilanden de Issel – No Recommendation
Already upon arrival at our holiday home Bungalow PureNature 728 we noticed serious deficiencies in cleanliness and hygiene. Within 12 days, we had to open a full 10 service tickets for repairs and cleaning, which goes far beyond the acceptable level. Holidays should be for recreation and not to spend every day dealing with complaints and improvements.
Particularly alarming was the discovery of dust or bed bugs, which caused us health problems (bites/eczema on the body). Despite cleaning and disinfection by the staff, the problem persisted. We had to do the cleaning ourselves, which is absolutely unacceptable in a holiday park of this price range.
The technical equipment of the house also left much to be desired. A faulty dishwasher, which was only replaced on the last day of our stay and was therefore functional, and a bathroom with mouldy stains on the ceiling, also contributed to our frustration. In addition, the blinds, windows and door fittings were damaged and could not be opened/closed properly.
Communication and service in the park were also inadequate. Problems were picked up, but the solutions seemed like “firefighting” – only short-term action was taken without addressing the fundamental shortcomings.
Another annoyance was the outdoor area of our house. The path to the jetty was slippery lawn, and without stairs it was a dangerous challenge, especially in wet conditions. The outdoor lighting also did not work, which restricted the use of the outdoor area in the evening. We had to charge our e-bikes with us in the house because the outside sockets were broken.
Other guests reported similar experiences, indicating general shortcomings in the park. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay. Despite the efforts of the staff to fix the problems, the sum of the shortcomings was simply too great to enjoy the holiday.
Several contacts with EuroParcs management regarding fair compensation, as the price-performance ratio was disproportionate to the price we paid, were blocked by multiple wiping off by email. The mailbox of the park is no longer available. EuroParcs’ central complaint management is also overloaded and has been putting us off for 10 weeks with the indication of staff shortages and feedback within the next few days. This indicates that EuroParcs is primarily designed for profit rather than Customer Service. Overall, we can only advise against Booking Referral.
