Restful beautiful

A place where history, calm, kindness, beauty of the terrace, will open its doors to you not to mention the extreme kindness of the couple who run the Riad. We enjoyed our stay, his good breakfasts, his kindness, the beautiful plants , the little cat so cute. Thanks to you we hope to see you again...

Less charming riad, friendly staff

The roof top terrace is brilliant and the owners are very friendly. Location is easy to find and very convenient to visit the main attractions.
In the reception room and on the terrace you Will find what you expect of a riad. Rooms are quite small, empty and cold.
Beds were way too firm for our liking and the shower not firm enough.
You better have breakfast outside, since it was pretty sparse in the Riad. Lukewarm tea, lukewarm pancake and lukewarm orange juice. That was it.

Great history

Jacques welcomed us as did his wife Atika. It was a cool riad with an interesting history as part of the/a palace that would have been significant in it's day. There were many areas/roof tops as we climbed stair after stair for our guided tour. A pretty amazing place with spectacular views.
Jacques warned us that we may have problems with wifi in our room, but that if we went into the adjoining room/lounge that was vacant, we would be fine and we were.
The shower was different and hard to contain the water, something to be aware of before the bathroom is flooded!
Breakfast was the most basic we encountered, unimpressive to be totally honest.
It would have been helpful to have more information about where to park, how to get to the Riad and what was acceptable costs in advance/at the time of booking. I think best would be to ring them on arrival and get them to organise "push push" if you have a lot of luggage. They are in the heart of the Medina which is all under cover, but the riad is off the souks/market area, we'd never have found it late afternoon without help. The push push driver didn't know the Riad, so we needed a guide. All up it was an expensive exercise to park and get to Riad.
When leaving the Riad, note some Landmarks, it looks totally different returning in different light, less/more busy times.

The best host we ever met!

Riad Atika Mek is unique! It's decorations, different in each room, give the building a sofisticate atmosphere..and the host is a kind and genuine person who welcome us and made us feel home. I would stay here again. The location is perfect, right into the Medina, the room was just beautiful and breakfast fresh and abundant.

What an amazing location, clean authentic place and helpful hosts

My friend and I spent a couple of days or so here and found our hosts helpful, honest, accommodating, proud of what they have to share in their beautiful home and their local area too. I look forward to my return in 2017 with a few good friends.
