Great visit!

Staff were all friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit. Rooms were satisfactory, pools were perfect temperature as were the hot tubs. Staff helped with luggage, transportation and suggestions for tourists. We will stay again.

Excellent Stay

The third week in January is great as the hotel was not crowded. Plenty of space to layout in the afternoons which were warm. Every room has a great view of the ocean and spacious. Drink specials were fun and inexpensive. The entire town was inexpensive. Easy walk, DiDi (Uber), golf cart thing, or taxi to other locations (in lowest cost order). People are friendly and felt very safe.

Just Perfect

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Our room was awesome...clean and fully stocked.. with kitchen, balcony and ocean view... It was lovely to have our coffee on the balcony in the morning.. but there was also reno/construction noise right beside our room ... ANNOYING to say the least. Fortunately staff were able to accommodate us and we changed rooms...in fact, we were upgraded.
A sincere thank you to Jorge, Luis Angel and Adrian for chatting with us (albeit in our broken Spanish)... and answering our many, many questions about Mazatlan. A very special thank you to Miss Dahlia for your genuine care and attention when assisting me to recover my ID and passport that I carelessly left in a taxi cab.
I can't say enough about the wonderful staff, they truly went "above and beyond" They were very friendly, accommodating and helpful.  I would definitely recommend this hotel.

SIMPLY THE BEST!

It starts with Paulina Ruelas checking us in. So very nice and helpful. Next a fantastic greeting by Karina Salcido. She remembers us from past visits over the years! Daniel Santana almost every day asking how things are and making recommendations. These persons make the INN.a wonderful place to stay. Let's not forget ALL the great staff at the INN! WONDERFUL STAFF BUT...

The Inn at Mazatlan Resort and Spa is in a great location with absolutely wonderful staff--from check-in and concierge to the restaurant staff and maintenance. However, until construction in the main building is completed, I would not recommend this resort. Forget about sleeping in late or having a lazy morning. You will be awakened to jack hammering, drilling, and the voices of construction workers. There were ants in my unit. Additionally, they were doing something with the water, so when I'd awake around 7 a.m. to take a shower, there was no water. I'd have to go down to the front desk to report it, and immediately the water would come back on. Why would a hotel shut off the water while you are at capacity? I read that the newer buildings are great, but I didn't have the opportunity to stay in one of them, so I can only provide information on the main building, where I stayed. The hotel manager was extremely accommodating and understanding when I told her about the ants and water situation. However, both situations were unacceptable. I wish I could give this resort 5 stars for its location, restaurant food, customer service and friendliness of the staff, but the other factors prevent me from doing so. I'd give it a year before I visit. By then, the renovations should be complete.
Tips: Take plenty of pesos. There is a surcharge when using your credit card, and different vendors charge different rates. It's just easier to use pesos. I thought 5,000 was a lot, but they go so quickly, especially if you eat out everyday outside of the resort and go on excursions. Brush up on your Spanish if you aren't Spanish-speaking. Hardly no one at the resort speaks English.
