Ok if on a Budget

Good location very close to the beach, but about 15 minute walk from the city centre. Rooms are dated and in very much in need of a refurbishment, but are comfortable enough and a decent size.
Was given a welcome drink on arrival, and the staff were very friendly and talkative.
Breakfast was a selection of local dishes (hummus, vegetables etc) and was OK.
WiFi only works in the reception area.
If you are needing budget accommodation in Aqaba for a short stay (1 night), this place ticks them boxes, but don't have high expectations!

A bizarre experience! My heart will go on(!?)

I don't know where to start. The best of this hotel is that is cheap. PERIOD. When coming to the hotel we realised that most of the reviews in TripAdvisor, Agoda, etc. are FAKE! Everyone reviewing is some mohamed, they write a really bad English, and they have only one or two reviews. Is the same person, just check it out, and please avoid to stay here unless you are out of money and you have been begging in the streets the last week.
The hotel is located quite far away from the city center. Not the best zone and in the middle of August can be really hot, so you don't want to be walking 20 minutes to get somewhere you can buy something or eat.
When we got there we were received by Amer itself. It was nice because we got some fresh water but after some minutes looking around and talking with him, you could feel like talking to a gangster in some kind of hidden place at the Bronx. If you are running away from INTERPOL / CIA / MOSSAD or FBI this is your place.
It seems that Amer has a kind of a party every single night. If you are reading that in some others comments, believe it, it's true. The room was OK, all TV channels were in Arabic, the bed didn't feel clean (we had to "sleep" dressed). The bathroom was dirty and very unfunctional. The Wifi.. forget it, it doesn't work. The main problem was the music all night long, we heard that they were having a party. They began with a kind of an arabic-rap, they switched to arabic-metal, and then techno. The good part was that they finished with My heart will go on, karaoke version (we were lucky nobody was singing so we only heard the instruments) - My heart will go on, 35 times, not one less, not one more.
If you made the mistake to book here, I recommend you to pay ASAP as we did. So you don't have to wake up his son sleeping at the sofa the next morning. We leaved the keys, and felt like running away in an action movie. Very bizarre experience, run forest, get a taxi and don't look back.

Disgusting

Booked 1 month in advanced then 3 days before sent email to confim my arrival and was told my room will be ready. When i arrived . 1 no drink on arrival as promised . 2 no one at hotel spoke english as promised. 3 cleaner that was there said he does not know of my booking and called the owner who was rude and did not even know how many days i will b staying. Eventually given a room which was changed 3 times each more filty then the next. The place resembled a constuction dumb site . Got fedup and left the hotel. Stay away from it owner is a liar .

5 star location on a decent price

Cleanliness in the rooms could improve. Other than that...
Location was just perfect, on the promenade, by the sea, a lot of caffees and restaurants near by. Parking included in front of Hotel.
Since it was low season and not many people in a hotel, we were upgrated to sea view room (even though mountain view is not dissapointing). I think owner was working reception at the time, really friendly, chit-chatty.
I think we were the only 2 people in hotel in the morning, so instead of preparing us breakfast in a hotel, the owner took us to real jordanian breakfast in a local restaurant. That was, by far, the best food I had in a long time. If this hotel would take this idea and actually prepare Jordanian breakfast instead of classic international breakfast, that would really add to the value and I would return just to have this breakfast.
This hotel also offers camping in Wadi Rum, if you are interested.
