A Treasure in Ravenna

My husband and I stayed at Casa Masoli for one week in January in Ravenna. We selected the ground floor suite. Besides being very spacious, it was filled with treasures, books, paintings, sofas, and many historical objects from the family home. Our room was spotless, with private bath, lovely shower, and amenities such as coffeemaker, fridge, closet space. The hot water was instant and plentiful. Since we were in Ravenna for a week, we could spread out. The owner, Anna, couldn’t have been nicer and couldn’t do enough for us, explaining where to go for all the mosaics, restaurant recommendations and making reservations for them. Breakfast was included in a sunny dining room on the 1st floor. Anna made us lovely large cups of cappuccino every morning and there was always a selection of fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, toast, eggs to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more. Since there were six rooms, we could chat at breakfast with other guests but each guest had their own table. The neighborhood was safe and extremely close to the center of Ravenna. We walked everywhere. It was not crowded as we were there in January. It was chilly, in the 40’s and 50’s. Back home in Pennsylvania, we had left bitter cold and snow! We wanted to experience high quality B&Bs, with comfort and value, not cookie cutter hotels without charm. This is perfect for a wonderful experience in an amazing historical home but with all the modern comforts, including heat and AC. Not recommended !

Not recommended! The house is a case for the junk squad, bathroom very old, out of the bathroom door a corner is knocked out so that the door does not strike on the washbasin. Shower with two high steps, adventurous. We had a change of room as the owner lived with her family behind a recessed wall right next to us, the whole private family life with all the associated noises took place in front of or next to our room, cooking, eating, shouting etc. This is my house. She didn't even say goodbye to us. Big shaggy dog in the breakfast room. No fresh bread or pastries for breakfast, just swashbuckling toasted bread.

Two days in Ravenna to remember

Beautiful property in the center of Ravenna. Wonderful welcome from Mrs. Anna prodigal advice and information. Spacious, comfortable room complete with bathroom accessories and coffee machine. Rich breakfast in elegant setting.
Overall experience definitely to recommend.

What a gem!

What a gem! The room was comfortable, the rate was excellent, Anna the owner was delightful and hands on (she cooked the breakfast), and the location was wonderful (walking distance to the most important sites, restaurants, and central district activity).

Perfetto!

I cannot say enough wonderful words about our stay at Casa Masoli. "Perfect" hardly suffices. Anna is the most kind and gracious hostess I have ever encountered. She was essential in arranging a tour of the city sights, recommending a fantastic spot for our dinner and helping us secure our rental car (when the office was unexpectedly closed). The casa is in a very convenient location and the property is exceptionally beautiful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Because my husband has difficulty navigating stairs, we were given a ground floor room and staff was helpful in arranging for us to have a very bountiful breakfast in our room. Overall, we felt incredibly blessed to have had such an amazing place to stay while we visited Ravenna.
