Very nice hotel complex, with friendly staff

On our weekend trip we stopped at the Cavallestro Hotel. We liked it very much, it is a special ambience. The staff are extremely friendly. We ate in the evening at Gallopardo restaurant that food was very good. Breakfast was varied and also very good. Positively, the Cavallestro is so centrally located on the bike path, as we had our bikes with us. In addition, the bicycles can be locked in a designated room. What we unfortunately did not like so much and leads to a point deduction is that the beds are very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, one had the feeling that the mattresses were already getting old, one has already felt the feathers. And also the pillows were not exactly pleasant to sleep on. There were probably hard spots in the pillow from washing. In addition, with the shower the water was either hot or cold, there was no other option. Luckily it was very hot the day we travelled, so cold showering was not too bad. In addition, it would not be bad if fly screens were attached to the windows, as there is no air conditioning and you only get pleasant air in the room by opening the windows. Unfortunately we had to deal with mosquitoes all night. All in all, the hotel is recommended.

Very happy to return

Super clean hotel, absolutely friendly staff. Breakfast near perfect (coffee from the vending machine) highly recommended. The attached restaurant is great. There is also a storage facility for the motorcycle.

Convenient location, helpful staff and characterful hotel amongst the horses

This is an unusual hotel, set across 2 historical buildings with two onsite restaurants. Staff were great and it's a really good location for an overnight stop travelling up and down Germany. Close to the motorway but very quiet.
The hotel is surrounded by a horse stables , with paddocks and training yards etc. If you like horses, it's a great place to watch them.
Staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Rooms vary quite a bit in size but some are really good. Not luxurious by any means but good value and comfortable. One of our group uses a wheelchair and had no trouble.
The dining room at the Italian restaurant (which is also where breakfast is served) is very pleasant and also has a lovely terrace for exterior dining. Meals were good and the breakfast was excellent. There is also a very nice sauna area.
We would definitely stay again.

A new find!

We recently stayed over in this hotel, and we were very happy with this find.
We booked a de luxe room in advance, and could check-in online. We were welcomed by a friendly lady and checked-in in the blink of an eye . The hotel is brand new and our room was very nice and spacious. The same could be said about the bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
We had booked a table in their 'Woodland' restaurant, which dining experience I will describe seperately.
In the morning an excellent breakfast is served in their restaurant, where a chef prepares delicious eggs to order. I had a great Eggs Benedict with salmon. Good coffee's, smoothies, juices and lot's of food choices made this a perfect start of the day.
One final aspect I have to add: both the hotel and restaurant are very dog friendly !

Great place with big clean rooms and horse riding center

Great place with big clean rooms.
Perfect bath with two showers and floor heating.
Two restaurants with very good meals.
Super friendly English speaking staff.
Good free wifi.
Safe location with friendly people around.
Free parking.
Bonus: great stables with horses near by.
Rural idylic location great for cycling or dog walking.
Probably the best place to stay if you have a car and/or cycle and want to explore Kitzingen and surrounding areas.
To the guy that has mention air conditioning is not working - well it works if you close well all the windows mate.
How do I know: asked the staff and they have told me. Apparently there are energy efficient open window sensors connected to the air con system. Who'd have thought that in 21st c. eh? Not me hence I have asked for help LOL
