Expensive, pedestrian and loud
Loud rooms and windows that pull. Well, this place needs to be done.
The hotel is not only old but in need of massive renovation. The rooms are very small and the bathroom just screams with mold. The windows are leaking and in winter you freeze very much as it pulls. In addition, the soundscape is unsurpassable. Here the saying "in the heart of St.Pauli" takes on a new meaning. Every ambulance felt like it was driving through the room. However, the service at the reception was very accommodating and friendly.
For the money, you could have moved to a well-known hotel like ibis.
360Euro plus 12 Euro tourist tax for a double room and three nights is ambitious for the condition.
Double room with two single beds pushed together that constantly slip apart. The mattress is buttery. There's the follow-up massage program.
However, the location is still satisfactory. 1 minute from the S-Bahn station.
If you only want a hotel to sleep in, you should be very alcoholic to be able to sleep.
Too bad, as the hotel obviously had great potential. But I guess that's for the archives.
Booking and processing were fine, however.

Weekend Away
to Brewdog. Rooms were dated and had an awful smell. No toilet roll! One bed was completely broken as per the picture. Whilst it is cheap I would avoid if you are wanting any sort of sleep. Never again

Price fine.
That's about it. Rooms very dated and smelly.
Hosts nice.
Bed very comfortable. One of our party had an awful bed though. It was literally broke. Shower was awful. No hot water at times.

More than I bargained for
The room was big enough and the bathroom big and comfortable. WiFi reception was great both at the room and at the breakfast area (I had read on previous reviews that it was bad, but it wasn't the case for me. They fixed it I guess) Breakfast is charged extra but worth it. Access to the rooms is via stairs or lift.
The location is great, just around the corner from the intersection between Große Freiheit and Reeperbahn, which also means it can get quite loud at night. Only on Saturday night I kept hearing music until late at night. The other nights it was fine.
The staff is friendly and gave me a few suggestions of things to see in Hamburg. All in all a nice experience.
