A castle in a green setting with charming and adorable hosts

An incredible stay at Château Valette thanks to our lovely hosts, Christine and Richard. Their discreet and warm presence added a special touch to our stay. The castle's green setting is enchanting, with deer coming to the park in the evening, swans on the lake and shooting stars at night. The calm that reigns here is simply soothing. We thank Christine and Richard for their kindness and our rich exchanges. Leaving was difficult, full of emotions.

Suspended time

A timeless place where everything is delightful: the bucolic setting, the careful decoration, imbued with poetry, the terrace overlooking the pond where excellent breakfasts are served, a magnificent vaulted and intimate indoor swimming pool. Many of the trails in the park were a playground for our dog who felt right at home, all thanks to Christine and Richard who are kind and attentive hosts.
If that’s not your route, Château Valette is worth a detour.

Lovely Country Estate

We spent one night here at Christine and Richards. She is a wonderful hostess. Their chateau is an eclectic mix of English and French decorating. Christine provided a full dinner and a wonderful breakfast. The grounds with peacocks are delightful to walk about. Ask for the room with the full four poster king bed. Large and luscious. Bathrooms have been remodeled and are great.

A breath of fresh air!

Richard and Christine were incredibly welcoming and looked after our special requests with no problems at all. The property is a lovely old chateau and is nestled in its own valley. The only sounds you hear is the abundant wildlife. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the cellar pool is magical. We had a home cooked meal, from Christine, one evening and it did not disappoint. All in all a really relaxing stay and we felt very looked after. We will be back!
