Relaxing little hide-away

We stayed at Trapp Hotel shortly after arriving in Costa Rica and we enjoyed it so much, we stayed for 2 more nights before returning home! It's the ideal place to chill and relax. We loved the colonial style and the rooms are very spacious. Karin was a helpful and friendly host and did everything to make us feel welcome. The local junior staff were also very sweet and helpful. Thank you Karin for making us feel welcome!

What a gem, very close to the airport (2 km), good value and genuinely attractive, with a colonial style, rooms have balconies and the garden is tropical and full of exotic plants and trees - one is 300 years old.

This was my third stay there. I was very satisfied again. A very cute little family hotel and just the right place for the night after arrival or before departure!

Foul smelling room that reeked of stale urine

Stayed for one night before our flight home. Our family room smelt strongly of stale urine. The bathroom obviously needed a really good clean. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there was a lot of black mould on the shower head.
I’m not happy our travel agent booked this for us, as loads of better similarly priced hotels in the area. I would avoid this one in future.
Oh and, no choice at breakfast, just eggs, rice and beans.

does not coincide with the rest of the comments that are seen on tripadvisor, if your room was in those conditions
that you mention unfairly when you entered , you could have notified us, and we would be happy to have solved your problem.

Comfy large room with balcony overlooking pool & nature. Won’t feel like you are in the city. Occasionally you Hearn flights taking off but want much of a bother. Friendly reception staff who spoke English well. There is no AC but the cieling fan provided keep the room cool enough in July.
