Absolutely disgusting

This place was absolutely disgusting!! Dirty socks in the bed, blood and urine on mattress protector, blood on the walls,curtains lamp and some kind of bodily fluids on the walls!! Hotel refused to do anything about it. Hot tub was nasty looks like someone shaved their pubes in it. The swimming pool had gum and who knows what else floating around. Will be contacting health unit!!

It is close to the airport, and we have stayed at other Days Inn hotels in the past and had good experiences, however this stay was terrible.
The hotel was extremely busy when we checked in, guests lined up out the door. Once we finally got checked in we were met with strong odour of cannabis in the hallway leading to our room.
Luckily the stench didn’t seep into the room at all, but the room did not seem clean, there were hairs all over the bathroom counter.
The bed was clean though.
Also the heater unit in the room was very noisy and rattled throughout the night, but needed to be on otherwise it would have been a very cold night.

I went out and bought cleaning supplies and gave the place a scrub. I have never done that at a hotel before. Our room key wouldn’t work so we got a new one. A few hours later it didn’t work again. Went down to the front desk again and they told me I was in the wrong room. I showed them the card key envelope with same room number written on it by their staff. No apologies. Breakfast was terrible. Little selection. Waffle machine was coated with old burnt on waffle and not useable. No bowls for cereal and we were told by staff to use paper cups for cereal. The pool made our family’s eyes burn and made us feel sick. Too much chlorine. Also, the next evening someone threw up in the pool twice and people kept swimming in it. I’m not sure how long it was closed for cleaning but it was open the next morning. Parking is sparse and sports are very tight. Will never stay here again.

We checked in at 3 and the pool was closed, when it did open, after 6:30, there was lots of "stuff" floating in the water. The hot tub was not hot, was not warm, but very, very cold. Also the elevator inspection certificates were not displayed anywhere. Because the pool was closed at check-in, they allowed us to have a late check-out the following day. the hot tub had warmed up, but had a greyish film.

Very noisy. Certainly not good if you are flying out or returning from flights. Long term live-in people staying in hotel so it doesn’t feel inviting or like a retreat away from home. I’ve stayed her at least 40 nights in the past 3 years and it’s just going downhill fast. Probably won’t be staying again unless new owners or major refreshments.
