Based on many reviews being good we decided to book this for a recent stay in Windsor. We booked a king room and the pics showed a king bed with a sofa and single chair. We called and confirmed this was the room we booked.
Arrived and found no couch, no coffee in the room and the floors were filthy. I wiped the floor of the washroom and it was disgusting. My hubby’s feet were covered in dirt from unpacking and using the washroom. The clothes drawers were the size of two cutlery drawers stacked and there were 3 only which was not enough for 2 adults staying 3 nights.
The first morning we went to make coffee and found the coffee machine and carafe hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest. Went to have a shower and the tub had not been cleaned. I addressed the coffee concern at the front desk as well as the dirtiness of the floors and the dirty tub, we were assured the room would be cleaned by the young man personally. He had no other coffee makers and said I’d have to wait until tomorrow for a coffee maker.
That evening we could smell the room had a cleaning solution smell and thought the room had been cleaned. I spilled water on the bedroom floor and used a facecloth to wipe it up assuming the floor was cleaned. Well, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned as you can see from the picture I took. The room had not been dusted for a long time by the amount of dust on the baseboards and headboard overall the room was filthy and had we not paid for the room through Expedia, we would have left the first morning.
English seems to be a barrier for communication about issues. When I told them the coffee maker was dirty from the previous occupant, we were given an electric kettle and told to pour water from that into the coffee maker. There was definitely issues with comprehension.
Overall, it’s a very dirty motel and I would not recommend it to anyone. We’ll never stay here again and hope our review will help others considering staying at the Kenora Motel.

Booked online and asked to pay at Hotel. When learned that payment was not paid on-line, advised I only needed 1 bed not two and they said at Hotel they could accommodate me, BUT, they still charged me for two beds. Not happy about that. I was in hurry to get to my appointment and didn’t have time to complain

It was a wonderful hotel, the room was neat and tidy, the bathroom was excellent. The fresh coffee made me feel so good in an extreme cold night. The hosts were really great and helpful. Every penny was worth it.
