Don’t stay! Just say NO!

So I have stayed a Hilton properties loyally for 35 yrs. I recently stayed in London on. At Homewood Suites. We checked in to our room to find this disgusting mess.Mold and plaster falling off the walls and windows. I went down to the front desk to report it and the gentleman at the front desk smelled so badly of body Oder that it burned my nose. Anyway I showed him the pictures and was told I could move to the next room over. No apology for the mess. No offer of an upgrade, just move yourself. When I called Hilton I was assured I would get a call back within 48 hrs no call back. Then I find out they ripped me off for my loyalty points as well!!! I’m done with Hilton!complete disrepair. And no apologies.

Hotel and rooms are beautiful, however, a lot of obviously wear in the room. Our room also appeared to not have been cleaned. Tables dirty, hair on counter, shower and bedside table. Orange peel still on floor in kitchen. Felt like they made the bed ( poorly made, not traditionally how a hotel bed look frech and crisp and clean), and left, didnt even have enought towels. 2 towels for 3 guests! And ran out of towels at the pool. I asked for more but they were out of all types of towels. So kinda brutal, 3 ppl sharing 2 towels for their swim and then re used them shared them to shower, at what looked like a beautiful place. So hskg and supplies not good. Staff was at least friendly

Very clean, hockey game on and it was still quiet with all the teams staying there. Front reception was always nice to work with for check in and check out.

For how much hotel rooms are these days, there are a bunch of little things that were overlooked/disappointing. First off, the room was set to 90F when we got in. Not a big deal, but still something that could be checked by housekeeping. Also, there was a lighter on the floor in the corner - I take that as possibly the floor wasn’t vacuumed. The fitted sheet on the bed was too small for the mattress, so the corners would slide off easily. Also the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty (can’t call down the desk mid-shower!) and the toilet paper roll was falling off the wall. All in all, little things added up to frustration for what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.
