The beds were superb for comfort. Room was clean. Bathroom was spotless. A bit of routine maintenance needed for a leaking bath tub faucet and the inside of the sink overflow drain should be sanitized and cleaned out. Plenty of hot water! Our keycard had to be replaced twice due to none function. Certainly would stay again.

The bed seemed to have better days. My back was sore after a night on it… not usual for me. I thought the mattress springs were shot. As for service I went to the desk to find an ice machine rang the service desk bell waited five minutes and no one showed. Never did find ice machine. Entrance to upstairs dirty and carpets in hall way needed cleaning or replacing. Travel thru Castlegar at least once a year! At this point I will be looking for other accommodation! Staff were pleasant though!

This is a very basic hotel, it was clean enough for one night, but the bathroom was not clean when we arrived to our room, with dried urine drips on the toilet seat, hairs on the floor in the bathroom and the room smelled badly of smoke. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was hot, but as mentioned in other reviews the heater fan is so loud that it made it difficult to get a good nights sleep…. I regret not bringing earplugs. Overall it is a basic, clean enough budget hotel.

A good solid hotel choice in Castlegar, nothing fancy but clean and has everything you need. Breakfast is pretty basic.

Manager need to refresh some trainings.
Not a friendly hotel. General manager was rude. I travel a lot and most nights I preferred best western hotel. Managers behaviour was awful did not even apologize. Want to charge me for extra night even I checked out by 11am which is normal check out time. Denied to provide me an invoice at first when I was mad at him then he provided me an invoice. Not expectable.

I appreciate the opportunity to clarify your concerns. First and foremost, our General Manager did not intend to come across as rude. It seems that the nature of the conversation may have caused a misunderstanding regarding BWH member benefits and late checkouts.
Regarding late checkouts and cancellations, these are only available if there is capacity and capability for the property handle, and unfortunately, due to limited availability on your checkout date, we were unable to accommodate your request. Additionally, we did not receive clear communication about the reduction of your booking or the late checkout. As you left the room after the standard checkout time of 11 AM, we could not waive the fees associated with the modifications, as the room could not be cleaned and sold for that night.
I will ensure that during my next property inspection, I review our communication practices to prevent similar situations in the future.
I would also like to apologize for any confusion regarding invoicing; our bookkeepers are currently working on modifying our tax information. I regret that this issue occurred during your stay.
